What is cosmetic acupuncture?
It’s a natural method of improving the appearance of the face and neck by using tiny acupuncture needles to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and large pores. It also tones the facial muscles and jawline, improves complexion and enhances the overall health and wellbeing of the entire body. It’s an effective and affordable non-invasive anti-aging technique with no side effects other than occasional temporary bruising and light soreness.
How do the methods you use with cosmetic acupuncture firm up sagging skin and reduce wrinkles?
Homeopathic Bio-Injection Therapy combines vitamins and or homeopathic medicines into acupuncture points on targeted areas of the body. These points are stimulated longer and trigger the body to improve the elasticity, integrity and hydration of the skin at a deeper cellular level. These gentle injections can be used in conjunction with cosmetic acupuncture for a more nourishing effect.
How do you work with a new patient?
We meet for a free 15-minute consultation to review their health history and to discuss their desired results. I evaluate the condition of their skin and prescribe a clinical plan tailored to their needs. I also provide diet and whole food supplementation counseling to support their overall wellness.
How many sessions does it take for patients to see results?
Some have noticeable results in the first few treatments depending on the condition of their skin. Most patients experience improved energy and better sleep after the first treatment. Appointments are twice per week for 5 weeks. Some patients may require maintenance treatments for longer lasting results. We can treat multiple conditions simultaneously such as fatigue, insomnia, stress, and anxiety.
What’s your history as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physician?
I’ve been helping patients of all ages to improve their quality of life since 2013. Most people come to me initially to reduce pain, but many end up experiencing other benefits such as improved digestion, better balance and stamina, and the reduction of asthma, seasonal allergies, headaches, and side effects from cancer treatment. I also treat pregnant mothers right up to childbirth.
What’s the latest with your family?
Our latest adventure has been adopting our rescue dog, Buddy. He’s our February “foster fail” and we’ve been busy ever since loving him and molding him to be a part of our active family. Life is good, and we are very grateful!
