Dr. Charette, please introduce ArchWell Health. ArchWell Health provides primary care services to adults over 60 at no cost. Many of our patients have Medicare Advantage plans from major companies like Aetna, United Healthcare, Humana, and Devoted Health Plans. Our primary mission is helping our patients remain healthy over the long term, and not treat them when they’re feeling sick. We also offer same day walk ins for members and host classes and activities like chair yoga, Zumba, bingo and crafts right in our various centers.
What are some of the other benefits with ArchWell Health? It’s challenging for anyone to discuss their health needs and concerns in only 10 minutes. At ArchWell Health, our Value-Based Care model allows members to have much longer appointments to make it easier to have a thoughtful conversation. This helps providers to build a true relationship with our members. We provide members with a full range of primary care support under one roof. That includes regular checkups and preventative health screenings, nutrition education, lab work, vaccinations, social work appointments, and cardiology telehealth appointments. We also offer 24-hour phone support, same day sick appointments, transportation to and from appointments if needed, and referrals to specialists.
Who are the primary care physicians for the Venice location? Dr. John Schloff and I provide clinical care at our Venice location. We both enjoy working with older adults and addressing their needs and concerns as they age.
Where are your other locations in Florida? We now have ArchWell Health centers in Sarasota, Bradenton, Clearwater, Dunedin, New Port Ritchey, and Holiday. We’re excited to have recently celebrated 10 grand openings across Florida’s Gulf Coast.
How do you support health education? We have a large and comfortable activity room for hosting classes and talks focused on disease prevention and management, healthy living and wellness. We also recently launched diabetes education classes that are open to the community. These classes focus on concerns like prediabetes, dining out with diabetes, diabetes management tips, and related topics.
What’s your background as a physician? I was born and raised in a small town in Maine. I started my medical career in high school as an advanced EMT, phlebotomist, and respiratory technician. I worked as a Physician Assistant before attending medical school. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the beach, working out, Bible study, and spending time with my wife.
